Blue Origin rocket wins NASA award for Escapade Mars Science Mission

The launch, from Space Launch Complex-36 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, is targeted for late 2024. It will then take around 11 months to arrive at Mars after leaving Earth’s orbit, reports Blue Origin, which was founded by Jeff Bezos.

The New Glenn – named after the astronaut John Glenn – is a heavy-lift launch vehicle for carrying people and payloads into orbit. It has a reusable first stage built for 25 missions.
