The US Gulf of Mexico rig count remained unchanged for the sixth week in a row, holding steady at 21, according to the Baker Hughes Weekly Rig Count of July 14, 2017. That number (21) is also the same as it was at this time last year.
The overall US offshore drilling rig count also remained steady, mirroring the US GoM rig count at 21. That number is down by one year-over-year.
