Forecasters expect February auto sales to fall a couple of percentage points below February 2017, with no letup in the consumer trend towards trucks and away from traditional passenger-car styles.
Based on shopping earlier this month, LMC Automotive and J.D. Power said in a sales forecast on Tuesday they expect February 2018 auto sales of about 1.3 million, down 2 percent from a year ago. Automakers in the U.S. market report February sales on March 1.
