Honda’s Different Take on an ATV

Honda will be debuting its 2019 Insight Hybrid (designated a prototype, but it will be built at the company’s Greensburg, Indiana, plant, so it is perhaps more likely to be a bona-fide production-intent vehicle) today at the North American International Auto Show—a vehicle that features the third generation of the Honda two-motor hybrid system (1.5-liter Atkinson cycle engine, electric motor, lithium-ion battery pack) — and although Acura will be showing the third-generation RDX crossover as well this morning we’ve got to give it up to this vehicle that was presented last week at CES: the 3E-D18, an electric, autonomous vehicle based on a Honda ATV vehicle that was designed by Honda R&D Americas:
