Tesla Comes Through With Record Delivery Numbers, Disappointing The Darkside

Tesla announced that they delivered over 25,000 vehicles in the first quarter of 2017 ended in March, split between 13,450 Model S and 11,550 Model X. The year-on-year quarterly increase was 69% and was an all-time record for the company.

The company produced 25,418 automobiles in the quarter, also its best ever quarter for production.

Tesla said in the press release, “Our delivery count should be viewed as slightly conservative, as we only count a car as delivered if it is transferred to the customer and all paperwork is correct. Final numbers could vary by up to 0.5%.
