VW, BMW Shares Fall After Trump Auto Tariff Threat, But Experts Call It A Bluff

German auto stocks dove Monday after President Trump threatened over the weekend to impose extras tariffs on European auto imports, but it was hard to find experts who took the claim seriously.

Trump’s threat, made Saturday in a tweet, comes as part of a drive by the president to address the large trade deficits the U.S. is running with a number of industrialized countries.
