GM, Nissan post October declines

General Motors, Fiat Chrysler and Nissan Motor Co. posted drops in U.S. car and light truck sales in October in what is forecast to be a third consecutive monthly decline for the industry.

GM fell 1.7 percent as it continued to emphasize sales to individual customers over fleet deliveries. Nissan was down 2.2 percent, its third sales setback this year. FCA’s 10 percent fall included a second straight monthly dip at Jeep, one of the industry’s hottest brands.
