3D Printing Raises New Legal Questions

To say that additive manufacturing – commonly referred to as 3D printing – is taking over the world is no understatement.

Some have referred to it as the Third Industrial Revolution, and for good reason. While largely under the radar to most consumers, numerous large corporations already are incorporating 3D printing into their production lines.

For example:

GE Aviation plans to introduce this year the first 3D printed parts for aircraft engines.  The company predicts it will produce more than 100,000 parts using 3D printing by 2020.
