Ford will add hybrid powertrains to two of its most popular models, the Mustang and F-150, starting in 2020.
But both models are just a small part of a massive push by the automaker to start selling more hybrids and electric vehicles.
Ford has announced a $4.5 billion investment encompassing 13 new hybrids and EVs, including a fully electric small SUV, a hybrid-powered autonomous vehicle, a plug-in hybrid commercial van, and the industry’s first “pursuit rated” hybrid police car.
