Korea looking windy on China chip restrictions

Early last week, China’s Commerce Minister Wang Wentao, after a meeting m Korean Trade Minister Ahn Duk-geun, said the two countries had agreed to strengthen dialogue and cooperation on semiconductor industry supply chains.

However, a Korean government statement on the meeting did not mention chips. It said it had asked China to stabilise the supply of raw materials, and for a predictable business environment for Korean companies.
