AURA AERO Unveils INTEGRAL R Aerobatic Trainer in U.S. Market

AURA AERO has introduced its new INTEGRAL R aircraft to the U.S. market at the Sun ‘n Fun air show in Florida. This two-seater training aircraft is designed for aerobatics, targeting the U.S., the world’s largest market for training aircraft.

The INTEGRAL R, certified by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) last December, is expected to receive FAA certification this year. It is already in use for flight training in Europe, with deliveries beginning in March. Mike Goulian, a well-known American aerobatics champion, is the official ambassador for the INTEGRAL line in North America.

The INTEGRAL series includes three models: R, S, and E. The INTEGRAL R features a tailwheel and thermal single-engine piston (SEP) engine for aerobatics. The INTEGRAL S has a nosewheel and thermal SEP engine for training and leisure, with certification and deliveries starting this year. The INTEGRAL E, a fully electric variant, is undergoing flight tests with certification expected next year.

INTEGRAL aircraft, powered by Lycoming engines for thermal versions and Safran ENGINeUS for electric versions, are optimized for upset prevention and recovery training (UPRT) and visual flight rules (VFR) training. They feature advanced avionics for detailed flight data analysis and predictive maintenance to enhance performance and safety.

AURA AERO is establishing a new hangar at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Research Park in Florida to support assembly, delivery, and customer support. At the AERO Friedrichshafen event, AURA AERO received the finalized POA for the entire INTEGRAL family, establishing its credentials as a leading aircraft manufacturer and allowing series deliveries to commence.

The French aerobatics club Dijon Voltige was the first to receive the INTEGRAL R, becoming the launch customer. The first flight of the INTEGRAL R began in June 2020 at Toulouse-Francazal airport and concluded in November last year, paving the way for EASA certification.

AURA AERO’s introduction of the INTEGRAL R aircraft into the U.S. market signifies a major advancement in flight training technology. With EASA certification completed and FAA certification imminent, AURA AERO is set to meet growing demands for pilot training with advanced technology and strategic partnerships in place.
